Hello and Welcome! You found the right place, whether be on purpose or natural circumstance. Be ready to fill your stomach and heart.  In 1955, our founder, Giovanni Terraglia, immigrated with his family to the United States from Italy bringing with him family recipes. In 1965, Giovanni opened a pizzeria on Front Street in Plainfield, NJ. Working along side him were his wife Assunta and sons Salvatore & Luigi. A true family unit, proving that with hard work and dedication anything is possible. Everyone put in their fair share of work, but it was Luigi's vision & drive that really made the magic happen. He took what started as a simple pizzeria, and grew it into multiple full service restaurants. Conca D'Oro in Plainfield, Portofino Seafood & Steak in North Plainfield, and Luna Rossa in Bedminster. In 2021, Luigi found it time to retire and sold the restaurant. Taking time for himself to relax. But once something that has been part of your life for so long, it was hard to truly walk away. His drive which he instilled in his children, has inspired them to continue to honor his legacy by using the same traditional techniques and spices to create our mouth-watering meals. The Terraglia family has been serving customers for nearly 60 years and now has come time for the third generation to continue the family legacy with our new installation of Luigi's Deli & Italian Market.
